purStaying Small is a Choice, It Is Time to Step Up and Change the World

STAYING SMALL IS A CHOICE Staying small is a choice that you get to make.

And each and every day you get to make that same choice over and over again.

There is no reason to feel anything either way about the choice to stay small OR whether to reach for the stars and boldly ask for that which you really want.

Staying small is not bad, it means you get to serve people every day and make a difference for those people, and that is amazing. In fact, society celebrates you.

Society tolerates you.

They don’t make you feel bad for wanting more,

They don’t tell you to settle the f down,

They don’t tell you to take it easy, tomorrow is another day.

They certainly don’t suggest that you shine a little less brightly so as not to make others feel bad.

Why does society (unwittingly) help you to stay small?

Because you don’t make them feel uncomfortable, you don’t push them out of their own comfort zones,

You don’t make them feel ‘less’.

And in all honesty, some people are made for playing small, not everyone is supposed to build an empire. We need small businesses, we need the people serving a hand full of people, it is not the quantity that matters, it is the purpose, it is the difference you get to make in the world.

This message is certainly not about making anyone feel bad, we all have choices, and the right one for you is the one that lights you up. Never ever never should you let anyone convince, coerce, or demand that you do something that does not sit well in your soul and make you feel like you are cuddling a bunch of 2-week old mewling puppies.

But some of us are not made for playing small.

We are the outcasts.

We are the ones that people call pushy, driven, said with an undertone like we might be related to Donald Trump somehow.

We are the ones that are told to sit and down and shut up.

We are the ones that slowly die each day when we put the lid back on our dreams and instead reach for our latest distraction to drown out our screaming soul — Netflix series binge anyone?

We are the ones trudging through another day doing what others want us to do, I mean that is what we KNOW how to do, it pays the bills, it changes lives, our clients love it, and everyone is happy.

Except for your soul, of course, that sucker is screaming like a banshee.

Now I don’t want you to panic if this message is making your squirm with recognition, because you can go on for years and years and years like this,

no one will notice,

nothing bad will happen,

until one day you just can’t tolerate it anymore,

who knows what the catalyst will be,

but one day,

one day,

you will wake up and realize that you are here to save the MF world, you are here to reach thousands of people and touch their lives.

And when that day comes,

I want you to breathe,

To just sit,

And allow the feelings to come.

You are destined for greatness.

You are so much more powerful than you realize.

And your purpose on this planet is VITAL.

Today my question for your soul is this…

WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT YOU WOULD LOVE TO YELL INTO PEOPLES FACES, SHOVE DOWN THEIR THROATS AND HAVE THEM UNDERSTAND IT COMPLETELY AND FULLY, AND LET IT CHANGE THEIR LIVES FOR GOOD?

That my darling, is your life’s purpose, your mission here on this planet.

And, your business will sky-rocket, your life will become a shiny ball of joy, your soul will radiate like the sun when you finally accept this soul calling and the fact that you are here to be a big player.

So down with the guilt,

Down with uncle Jims kind thoughts about how he does not want us to burn out,

Down with mums creed that we should be happy with what we have,

Down with our husband’s sigh of frustration as he tells us to just focus on one damn thing will you,

Down with the guilt you feel for working 10 hours and loving it instead of kicking a ball with your kids.

JUST DO YOU.

Be all of you.

And if you are the woman who is here to reach bigger and be bolder, then step into those shoes.

Stop putting it off.

The feeling is NOT going to leave you alone.

I promise the grass is greener on the other side of the fence.
